Image Comparer is a curious program that, as its own name suggests, can compare two or more images and find similar and/or identical ones. The accuracy of comparison is really good. The program supports most of the popular image formats: TIFF, JPG, PCX, BMP, ICO, PNG, WMF, TGA, J2K, and others.
From the beginning, a wizard will guide you through the comparison process. You will be able to create galleries (groups of images for comparison) of your media files - later, you will be able to compare images within one gallery or compare two galleries.
After the comparison is done, the program will show you the image pairs found. Then, you can, for example, copy, move, or delete duplicate images (unfortunately though, all these actions are not available in the trial version). On the other hand, the program will highlight the differences between images, so you will get a great deal of precise information. And the comparison, apart from being very precise, is also pretty fast.
This program does not only perform searches for duplicate images, but it goes beyond. Its advanced technology is capable of analyzing and recognizing image meta data. This can be a very useful tool especially if you manage a lot of images, and you need to perform actions over them. Furthermore, the program can be used in more than 20 languages. |
